SAGASDOM opens its tenth edition on Friday, 2 October, at the Pavillon Gravelle in Paris’s 12th arrondissement. The three-day fair runs through Sunday and presents food, culture and entrepreneurship connected with French overseas territories and cuisines from elsewhere. Haiti is the 2026 guest of honour.

Paris je t’aime, the capital’s tourism office, lists more than 80 stands as well as cooking demonstrations, music, dance and the Chefs & Marmailles competition. The venue is at 2 route de Pesage, and the listed entry price is €8. Those practical details can change, so visitors should confirm their chosen session with the ticket seller.

Organiser figures are forecasts, not results

The organiser describes a wider mix of exhibitors from the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Pacific, South America and Africa. It also promotes professional meetings and entrepreneurship alongside tastings. That makes the fair more than a sequence of dishes, but the programme page remains promotional material rather than an independent assessment of exhibitors or food quality.

Attendance figures require a label. SAGASDOM says it expects 40,000 visitors and advertises 100 exhibitors across 2,000 square metres. These are organiser projections and promotional counts published before the doors opened, not audited attendance or a result already achieved.

A guide, not a restaurant ranking

Ticketmaster independently confirms the dates, venue and tenth-edition framing. France Télévisions is a media partner and promotes the fair to its audience, so its page is useful confirmation of the event’s public visibility but not an independent review. None of the consulted pages supports ranking one cuisine, chef or stand above another.

Visitors can approach the programme as a tasting route, a cultural event or a business fair. Those aims imply different priorities: queue times and allergens for diners, performance times for families, and scheduled meetings for professionals. Anyone with an allergy should ask the individual vendor about ingredients and preparation rather than infer safety from a dish name.

This is an opening-day guide, not a review of an event that had not yet finished at publication. Final attendance, delays and the quality of individual stands can only be assessed later. The most useful advance facts are the 2 to 4 October dates, the Pavillon Gravelle location, the listed €8 ticket and Haiti’s guest-of-honour programme.
