Paris Design Week enters its final days, but some exhibitions continue
The citywide programme ends on 19 September. Hanjimania at Hôtel de la Marine runs longer, while Design Week Factory has already finished.

Paris Design Week is approaching the end of its 10 to 19 September 2026 programme. For anyone planning a late visit, the most useful distinction is between the citywide event and the individual exhibitions within it: their closing dates are not all the same.
The organiser lists 500 participants across 320 venues, spanning showrooms, galleries, studios and museums. Paris’s tourist office describes a programme open to professionals and the wider public. That breadth makes the event more like a collection of neighbourhood visits than a single exhibition with one entrance and one timetable.
Check the exhibition date, not only the festival date
One important deadline has already passed. According to the organiser, Paris Design Week Factory ran from 10 to 14 September. It should not be advertised as an upcoming weekend option. The wider Design Week continues until Saturday 19 September, but visitors still need to check the opening details for each stop.
A longer-running option is Hanjimania at Hôtel de la Marine, scheduled from 9 to 27 September. The venue describes a collaboration between French designers and Korean artists and craftspeople around hanji, paper made from mulberry fibres. The installation is included in the permanent-route ticket, listed at €17 full price with the usual free-admission categories.
A practical way to plan
The venue connects the exhibition to the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Korea. Le Monde’s design coverage also identifies it as an example of traditional craft meeting contemporary objects. This is a source-based guide, not a first-hand review, and the illustrative image does not show the actual installation.
For a manageable visit, choose a small group of venues in one area and confirm opening hours, ticket requirements and accessibility on their own pages. Do not assume that a citywide design event makes every participating museum free. If Saturday is already crowded with Heritage Days plans, the confirmed 27 September closing date gives Hanjimania a separate place in the calendar.
